Linnea Alvord
Linnea has been an avid student of triathlon since 2004. She has produced solid results at all distances and is now focused on long course racing.
A multiple World Championship competitor at all triathlon distances as well as a USA Triathlon All-American, Linnea works hard, trains hard and races as much as she can. She is a results-oriented, life-long learner who has continually sought new experiences to broaden her knowledge base and improve her skills. Linnea comes from a diverse background with a BA from Dartmouth College, MBA from Portland State University, and years of global travel in the high-tech industry. A free-lance marketing consultant, Linnea works flexible hours that enable her to stay focused on triathlon. She also serves on the USAT Pacific Northwest Board of Directors and belongs to the Multnomah Athletic Club and the Portland-based Ironheads triathlon club.
The largest influence in my coaching style and philosophy has been the years I have worked closely with Mitch. He has been an excellent mentor who has helped me build a solid foundation in training principles and the technical areas like training with power.
