Counterpart Coaching

Mitch Gold

As Counterpart Coaching approaches its sixth year in service, Mitch continues to build on the already outstanding reputation of CpC by refining his coaching programs and putting more time and effort into the enormously successful Counterpart Camps.

Mitch continues to work on his IM performance with a recent PR of 9:39 at IM Hawaii and a 3:12 IM marathon at IMB. Mitch is a two-time Top-100 finisher at Ironman Hawaii and a two-time Hawaii Ironman Armed Forces Champion. Mitch has a personal best of 4:07 for the 1/2 IM and 9:33 for IM. He has been named All American by both Inside Triathlon magazine and USA Triathlon.

Almost all of Mitch's athletes PR'd in 2009 and as a result have decided to continue working with Mitch for a second and third season; a testament to his coaching.

"...your enthusiasm for IM really came through and helped charge me up for the key workouts. I think that if an athlete feels that their coach has faith in the their ability to do well that can be a very positive force. I got that sense from our discussions." -Jeff B

"Thanks for being my coach, you are definitely the guy to help me achieve my goals as a triathlete." -Joe T

Mitch attended the USAT Level I Coaching Clinic
at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs
and is a USA Cycling Certified Coach.
